place Do you want to learn more about how to create interesting
yoga classes, expand your home practice repertoire, grow your knowledge
of seasonal vinyasas or participate in discussions on how to weave
sequencing principles into your daily routines? If so, then the
Vinyasa Flow Intensive workshops are for you. During the weekend
intensive we will explore numerous ways to renew your relationship
with the yogic health science’s devoted to vinyasa and sequencing.
The Vinyasa Flow Intensive will offer you new tools to organize
your asanas for specific results, teach you to skillfully craft
yoga classes for the common request such as hip openers, shoulder,
chest, and core strength, expand your sun salutation repertoire,
break down advanced poses to teach or practice, and offer practical
ways to weave these ancient principles into your daily life routine
to promote health and balance through the seasons.
Friday: 6:30-9:00pm
Overview of “vinyasa flow” and the big picture of sequencing
for the various stages of life, seasons, monthly cycles, and daily
intentions. Class will end with a Yin Yoga practice to promote optimal
health for the spring season.
Saturday: 1:00-5:00pm
Our practice opens with a vinyasa flow class using a general template
to format the desired outcome. Discussion and practice drawing stick
figures to capture dynamic movement will follow. The second part
of the day will be devoted to creating new yoga classes for common
request such as hip openers, chest/shoulder, and core strength.
Sunday: 1:00-5:00pm
The session will begin with a vinyasa flow class designed to prepare
you for an advanced pose. Discussion and practice designing practices
for advanced asanas will follow. The second part of the workshop
will focus on expanding your repertoire in
sun salutations. We will conclude with a mini-Yin Yoga practice
for the spring season.
